Winemaker Kian Tavakoli
I’m fortunate to have known and worked with Kian Tavakoli for over 20 years on a number of winemaking projects which includes making wine from prestigious vineyards such as ToKalon, Dr. Crane, Stagecoach, and others. Now, we’ve combined those years of experience and passion together at Three Stars Wine, resulting in 5-star quality in every bottle of Three Stars Wine.
Winemaker Kian Tavakoli brings to Three Stars Wines tremendous knowledge and experience having been part of two of Napa Valley’s most prestigious wineries, Opus One and Clos du Val, for 12 years before embarking on his winemaking consultant career.
Now in his 34th vintage of winemaking, Kian is a valuable asset to my quest to produce small batch, high quality wines from the Napa Valley, as well as Lake County. Kian is the secret ingredient that makes our artisan wine Napa's finest.
A dedication to blend science and art
Kian received his degree from UC Davis before settling down in Napa to start his career. He is a father of 3, and when he's not helping Ryan with securing fruit sourcing, blending wine, or finalizing bottlings, you'll find him on the high school pool deck coaching Swimming and Water Polo.
